AGKC bullnose capping brick found still attached to some existing brick masonry. The bricks were found in Ravenhead at Alexandra Colliery. The area I found the bricks was in an overgrown area of the former colliery where once was the location of the Ravenhead Canal at the back of Crossley Road. St Helens.
The brick maker is Andrew George Kurtz and Co from the Kurtz Brickworks, St Helens, Lancashire. Circa 1842 - 1920.
