Many years ago, I remember passing a wall on Vista Road in a car and did not pay much attention to its importance. I was recently out on a walk to the Lyme and Wood Pit Country Park in the same area and knew there was a path on Vista Road to the woodland. I came across the wall that was a bit further on and found some the sides missing exposing the brickwork. The brick marks was very clear on both sides in regards to Richard Evans Bricks. I recognised the importance of this as these bricks were made locally and formed the heritage of the colliery that once was in the area with its attached brickworks. Real history despite the graffiti.
