The railway sidings at Nuttall Street, Ravenhead have proven to be a generous area for brick hunting. I have found a number of Cindrils Bricks, London Bricks and St Helens Doulton Bricks on this land. When I was young there used to be pigeon lofts on this site and the bricks appear to have been used to lift up the lofts so they were not on the ground. Word of warning watch out for sharps and other hazards on this land.
