Photograph taken from the Ravenhead branch line besides the old Ravenhead Bottle works. In the past this piece of land had pigeon sheds on it and I once worked with the owner. I can remember the sheds back around 1979, the owner later moved on, as Nuttall Street was demolished where he lived.
The land has seen some changes over the years and has become overgrown but I have found a lot of bricks in this area, namely Cindrils, Highland Park and St Helens Doulton bricks. There is also a lot of blue bricks in the area but have not been able to identify, where there have originated from. A nice secluded area close to what was once an active railway line to Watson Street..
