Jos Higson Daubhill Bolton Brick found at Gerards Bridge. Taking a walk close to Fosters Park and was looking for old bricks. I knew that this was close to old locations of the Union Plate Glass works and found this Daubhill brick in the undergrowth. I have found two others in the area so there must have been something significant built here. According to maps I have seen from the 1900's, there was the railway line from Shaw Street that connects also with the Gerards Bridge Chemical works and this goes under the viaduct line from St Helens Central. Whatever was built here, there was no defined building.
