Trying out a new walking area when I found a fragment of a Withnell Brick and Terra Cotta Company (1912) Ltd Brick in a path at Lyme and Wood Pit Country Park, Haydock. Although only a partial fragment it was firmly in the earth and it reminded me of something like a classic archaeological find in some far off country.
