Out walking in Windle and though I would check out a bridge in City Road as it has been built with blue bricks. Although there was nothing immediately obvious. I found this brickmark that was unusual as this was on the face of the brick and not in the frog area. Once I had found one, I quickly found others. All with 1875 imprinted on the face of the bricks that were used to form the brick coping on top of the wall.
Quite dangerous getting this brickmark, lots of busy traffic with no respect for a brickhunter. Be careful if you visit the bridge.
