Yorkshire Bricks.
Wortley Brick
This is the second brick I have found on Alexandra Colliery that has been from Leeds. It appears to be used in conjunction with Scottish bricks that I have found in the same area. Left the brick where I found it as still attached to existing brickwork and the cement was rock solid. NIce brick with a bit of a glazed quality to its surface.The brick was made at the Wortley Fireclay works in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
