The brick mark is for H Doulton & Co and can be found at the base of an old wall on Boundary Road, St Helens.
Henry Doulton is associated with sanitary pipe and brickworks at Rowley Regis, West Midlands (1849). These bricks are blue in colour due to the clay content in the area. The brick has made its was from the West Midlands in order for walls to be built surrounding the once brickworks and clay pit on Boundary Road.
