Lancashire Bricks.
Yates Horwich brick
The brick maker is A & E Yates, Crown Brickworks, Chorley New Road, Horwich, Bolton, Lancashire. Founded around 1870 and then acquired by a Jack Whithead in 1946. The company had a clay pit and Kilns.
This brick was located on Brough Road St. Helens. Not sure of the year of the brick but it was close to houses that were built circa 1900.
