Lancashire Bricks.
Jos Higson & Co Daubhill Bolton brick.
I have two of these bricks and both were found in the area of Gerard's Bridge close to the railway line from St Helens to Wigan.
In the past there was a viaduct over the railway line nears Fosters and on the other side of the tracks was the Globe works and Gerards Bridge Colliery.
These buildings were present around 1900.
Joseph Higson's brickworks was in Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. It was established in 1873 and was demolished in 1958.
